Construction of a new dual two-lane road to bypass the existing A585 through Little Singleton, on the section of road linking the Fylde peninsula to the motorway network at M55 junction 3. The new road will include improved junctions at Skippool and Windy Harbour, and may also include a short link road to the A588 to fully bypass Little Singleton to the north.
Kier Highways has signed the contract to build the £150m A585 Windy Harbour to Skippool improvement scheme for Highways England. Construction work will start on site in spring 2020, according to industry press.
