Replacement of a short section of the A14 with a new dual two-lane route. The scheme will take a series of sharp and accident-prone bends off the route and replace several dangerous flat junctions with a new grade separated dumbbell interchange.
This scheme was completed in and we're no longer accepting updates or changes to this page.
Transport minister Dr Stephen Ladyman has officially given this scheme the go-ahead and start of work is expected later this year.
Work has now started on the scheme.
The mainline opened to traffic in September; work on the local route and bridleway is still ongoing.
All major work completed. Final tidy up is due to happen in January 2009.
